Bobcats Open Basketball Season With Big Wins

The South Loup Bobcat basketball teams opened their seasons on Friday at home against conference rivals Twin Loup. The girls won by a score of 53-40, and the boys ran away with their win by a score of 62-30.

Leading the girls in scoring was Ava Pandorf, with 20 points, followed by Taylor Ross with nine points, and Abby Stallbaumer with eight points.

Saturday at Callaway, the girls lost a close game to Amherst by a score of 18-24. Ross put up eight points, followed by Pandorf and Bryn Schwarz with four each.

The boys also lost to Amherst, by a score of 35-52. Stats for the boys games were not available by press time. The next game for the Bobcats is Friday in Cambridge. Games begin at 4:30 pm.
