The South Loup cross country team traveled to Ravenna on Thursday, Sept. 18, to compete in an invitational meet at the Ravenna Golf Club.

Josiah Coleman led the way for the Bobcats. His time of 19:32.6 was good enough for 20th place overall. Jaden Baker was not far behind in 24th place, running a time of 19:48.5. Walter Bierman ran the course in 20:37.3 for 38th place, and Eli Rogers finished in 23:03.8.

A total of 130 runners competed in the men’s race, representing 24 schools from across the state.

On the women’s side, Kaygan Witthuhn finished the run in a time of 29:10.4 in 52nd place. Chenney Dishman was not far behind in 56th place with 29:52.8.

A total of 69 athletes competed in the women’s run. The team had this entire week off to rest before competing in the UNK Invitational on Monday, Sept.
