The Bobcat cross country team keeps pushing forward this season, and showing great improvements and having great successes as the season progresses.

Last Thursday they ran at Ravenna and brought home four more medals to add to their tallies for the year, and improving over last season’s times on the same course. This meet gives the Bobcats a chance to run against many of the Central Nebraska teams they don’t get to see as often during the regular season. There were 53 girls and 102 boys running this meet.

The girls team finished 4th with 50 points and the boys finished 6th with 63 points.

Senior Logan Recoy, despite being sick last week, still shaved more than a minute off his time from last year to finish in 7th place. Josiah Coleman finished 17th and improved his time by 30 seconds. Caleb McFate improved by 45 seconds, and Eli Rogers set a season record for himself.

The girls team also had a successful day with Ella Cool finishing in 4th place; Ivy Tullis finishing in 14th place; and senior Gracie Neth improving her time from last year by more than four minutes. Gracie has had the most time improvements of all the Bobcats this season.

The Bobcats headed east to Palmer for their invite on Tuesday. Results of that meet were not available at press time.
