The Bobcat wrestlers didn’t have far to go as they sparred in their lone tournament last week. All seven athletes competed in their own South Loup Invite on Friday, Jan. 23 and ended the day with a pair of medals for their efforts.

Senior Paxton Bierman has been on a roll lately and today was no different. He wrestled at 175 pounds and went 3-for-3 on his matches to take home gold.

Josiah Coleman had a bit of a setback in the semifinals, forcing him to fight back on the consolation side of the 120-pound bracket. After a few gritty matches, he ended up with a fourth-place finish by just three points on a decision.
