Nadine Belle Reinhard, 89
Nadine Belle Reinhard, 89 of Callaway, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2026, at Off Broadway Assisted & Independent Living in Broken Bow. Nadine was born on Aug. 30, 1937. She was the daughter of Cornelius “Neal” Sanders and Gladys (Shaw) Sanders.
Nadine graduated with honors from Kimball High School in 1956. She was selected by the American Legion as the Girl’s State representative from Kimball during her junior year and was awarded a full ride scholarship to attend the University of Nebraska. Times were tough, however, and Nadine instead chose to enter the work force.
On March 3, 1957, Nadine married Donald John Reinhard of Callaway. Don and Nadine ultimately settled in Callaway, where they raised a family, ran their farm, were deeply involved in the community, and remained married for 58 years until Don passed away in 2015.
Nadine loved being a mother and loved life on the farm - as challenging as it was - working next to Don while milking cows, raising pigs and moving irrigation pipe in the early day. She had a special interest in Eastern Star, serving many positions within the organization, and was a longtime member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the American Legion, among other community organizations. Nadine was also a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church of Callaway.
In her spare time, Nadine enjoyed playing Bridge, Pinochle, and other card games with family and friends. In later years, she kept up with these games while also taking on the challenge of playing Racko, Pass the Pigs, and Uno with her grandchildren. Most recently, after moving to Off Broadway, Nadine became a regular bingo player and a dynamic Off Broadway balloon volleyball player against other senior living locations.
Nadine is survived by her children, Tony (Vicki) of Denver, Coolorado and Susan (Ron) Birnie of White Lake, Michigan; four grandsons, Tony Reinhard, Donald Reinhard, Tyler Birnie, Logan Birnie; and six great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her brother, Delbert Sanders; and her husband, Don Reinhard.
Graveside services will be held Friday, Oct. 23, at 11 a.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery in Callaway with Pastor John Parsons, officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 22, from 5-7 p.m. at the Timm-Reynolds Love Funeral Home in Callaway.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Off Broadway Assisted & Independent Living in Broken Bow, or the charity of your choosing.
