In 1936, our family moved to Chadron where we lived on a farm. During this time, I worked some time for the Midwest Furniture Co.

My parents responded to the Gospel in 1931, and I made my choice to serve the Lord in 1935.

I was married to Joseph Earl Whaley on a farm on Dec. 26, 1944. We lived on a farm near Callaway until we retired in September 1975 when we moved to Broken Bow.

Three children were born: Stephen Earl, born Dec. 17, 1945; Susan Jo (McCue), born April 24, 1947; and Walter Lee, born March 26, 1950.

I was preceded in death by my father on Dec. 26, 1956, and mother on April 18, 1976.”
