Coming off their seventh consecutive Seven Valleys Tournament win, the South Loup Lady Bobcats volleyball team (7-3) completely dominated their home triangular last Tuesday against Dundy County-Stratton 2-0 and another win against Brady 2-0.

The Tigers of DCS (Benkelman) were no match for the more athletic and more experienced Bobcats. The first set the Tigers only held the lead for the first 2 points, but after a serving ace by Talli Martin, the Bobcats found their stride and finished the set 25-8. The second set was even quicker with DCS never getting a lead and allowing the Bobcats to win 25-6.

With three freshmen starters, DCS was at a disadvantage against the strong upperclassmen leadership and experience of South Loup. The Bobcats tallied 18 kills total with Abby Stallbaumer leading with 5 kills, followed by Bryn Schwarz and Taylor Ross with 4 each. Charli Vickers served incredibly well with 4 of her 7 serves being aces and zero service errors.

While their game against the Eagles of Brady was a close one, this meeting of the teams was all Bobcats, with an easy win 25-10 and 25-15. South Loup had

the lead the entire time in both sets. To start off the second set, Ava Pandorf served 10 in a row to run up the score 9-1, including one ace. Pandorf had 4 aces in 18 attempts, followed by Stallbaumer with 3 aces.

The JV hosted Anselmo-Merna last Monday and won 2-0. The stats for that game were not immediately available.

The Bobcat JV team traveled to Ansley-Litchfield for a triangular on Monday and the varsity hosted Elm Creek and Anselmo-Merna on Tuesday for a triangular. Scores from these games were not available by press time.

A home triangular on Sept. 29 against Sandhills Valley and Twin Loup will begin at 5 p.m. in Callaway and a home game Sept. 30 at Arnold against Hyannis will begin with JV at 4:30 p.m. and varsity at 5:30 p.m.
