The South Loup cross country team kicked off the 2026 season in Burwell on Thursday, Aug. 27, in a big way. The girls’ team came home with a first-place team finish!

Four runners medaled for the girls while both boys on the team also medaled.

Those results are as follows: Girls: Jade Bierman- 5th Delanie Weinman- 8th Chloe Coleman- 9th Danielle Burd- 13th Boys: Walter Bierman- 3rd Dagen Fletcher- 10th The team is back on the course today, Sept. 3, in Cozad, then will have a break before their next meet on Sept. 12 in Broken Bow.
