Bobcats Win Men's and Women's Team Titles in Overton

South Loup was one of seven teams to compete in the Overton High School track meet on Tuesday, April 21, and what a great day it was to be a Bobcat! Both the men’s and women’s teams won the meet.

The South Loup men finished the day with 152 team points to easily place first in the team standings. Twin Loup finished in second place with 116 points, followed by Overton with 93 The ladies tallied 151 team points to beat out second-place Axtell, who had 140, and Overton with 86.

Individually, the men’s team claimed the gold medal in six events while the women brought home gold in four events, including all of the relays.

As the season begins to wind down the Bobcats will host the MNAC meet in Arnold on Friday, May 1. Events get underway at 9:30 a.m. They will then head to Sutherland on Tuesday, May 5, for the Best of the Midwest and will be back home in Arnold on Friday, May 8.
