Lady Bobcats End Season at Subdistrict Rumble

Volleyball season is officially over for the South Loup Bobcats as they finished their subdistrict challenges last Monday, Oct. 27 with a 3-0 loss to the Brady Eagles in first round action as previously reported. The first two sets found the Eagles leading start to finish, putting away the Bobcats 25-22 and 25-8. In the third set, South Loup battled hard, running the tally into bonus scoring before dropping the set 24-26 in favor of Brady.

Senior Nyachay Haidle fired up on the three sets, slamming down 8 kills then helping out with 1 block and 5 digs. Rae Hagler and Charli Pandorf led on defense, with 12 digs each, while Emma Stallbaumer finished the match with 10 digs, 2 blocks and 8 kills. Hagler supported the team at the net with 22 assists. Stallbaumer and Asa Starr contributed 1 ace serve each.

The loss to the Brady squad ended the Bobcats’ bid for a district spot and closed out the season for South Loup. Their final record stands at 8-22 for their 2025 run.
