Lady Bobcats Sweep Triangular at Home

After a challenging set of losses the previous week, the Lady Bobcats faced another tough match, dropping their contest against Ansley-Litchfield 3-0 on Sept. 30. However, they were able to rebound and win back-to-back matches at their home triangular on Oct.

2, breaking their six-game losing streak.

The Bobcats challenged the Ansley-Litchfield Spartans at Callaway last Tuesday, Sept. 30, and were defeated in three straight sets, 25-16, 25-13, 25-12.

Emma Stallbaumer was strong at the net, posting 9 kills, while Nyachay Haidle contributed four. Charli Pandorf had 15 digs, Stallbaumer added 9, and Rae Hagler stepped in with 16 assists and 7 digs. Olivia Fitzgerald, Stallbaumer, and Aubrie Birkel each had 1 ace at the service line.

Next up, the South Loup squad took on the Twin Loup Wolves, followed by the Sandhills Valley Mavericks at Arnold on Thursday, Oct. 2. The Bobcats swept the triangular, winning two straight sets against both teams that evening.

South Loup came out firing on all cylinders against the Wolves, winning the sets 25-18, 25-20. Haidle led at the net with 10 kills, with Hagler putting up 18 assists.

Pandorf finished the game with 7 digs, and Stallbaumer sent 1 ace serve. Birkel had 5 digs, and Haidle had four.

In their final game of the week, the Bobcats faced the Mavericks and had a close run the first set. After coming out on top 25-21, they whipped the Sandhills Valley squad with a decisive 25-16 second set, completing their sweep of the triangular.

Stallbaumer was on fire for this match, racking up 10 kills, 6 digs, and 2 ace serves. Hagler helped her out with 11 assists. Junior Addison Stump got in on the action with 8 digs. Haidle was solid from the service line with 4 aces.

The Lady Bobcats were back in action on Tuesday, Oct. 7, with a triangular hosted by the Maxwell Tigers and included the Cambridge Trojans. They travel to spar with the Cozad Haymakers today, Oct. 9, with matches set to start at 7 p.m.
