The South Loup boy’s wrestling team took five athletes to the Anselmo-Merna Invitational on Saturday, Dec. 14, and came home with three medals. As a team the Bobcats finished in 10th place overall in the 16-team field. The Grand Island JV team won the tournament.

The Bobcats picked up the silver medal at 157 pounds, the bronze medal at 120 pounds, and the 4th place medal at 165 pounds.

The team is back on the mats today, Dec. 19, at a quad in Ansley with action getting underway at 5 p.m. They then travel to Burwell on Friday, Dec. 20, with matches set to begin at 1 p.m.
