Susan Jo McCue passed away peacefully on Nov. 24, 2024. She spent her final days by those dearest to her.

Susan was a loving caring wife, mother, and grandmother who spent her lifetime career as an educator. She embraced her fondness for children. Growing young minds was her passion.

Susan gave wings to many children’s dreams and improved their lives. She was known by her colleagues as a professional who inspired creative expression and taught the skills to succeed.

Susan maintained a steadfast commitment to faith and family. A crowded table full of family and friends was where she longed to be. Caring for others gave her tremendous joy. After retiring she spent years looking after her four grandchildren. This period in her life was very rewarding.

Susan was born on April 24,1947 in Callaway, to Joe and Edna Whaley. She was preceded in death by her father.

She is survived by her mother Edna; her husband of 54 years, Michael McCue; her siblings, Steve and Walt Whaley; her daughter, Nicholl McCue and son, Marcus McCue; and her grandchildren, Monday, Miles, Macy and Maddox McCue.
