Lady Runners Pick Up More Hardware at Cozad

Lady Runners Pick Up More Hardware at Cozad

The South Loup cross country team traveled to Cozad on Saturday, Sept. 7, for an invitational. The weather was perfect with mild temperatures in the lower 70s when the runners hit the course.

In the men’s division freshman Jaden Bush was the top runner for the Bobcats, finishing in 15th place with a time of 18:39.9. Josiah Coleman was not far behind running 18:54, good for 17th place. Walter Berman finished 24th with a time of 19:47.2, and Dawson Mason came in 26th with a time of 20:03.06. Caleb McFate and Eli Rogers finished out the field for the Bobcats.

The Bobcats finished in 5th place in the team standings in the seven-team field. For the ladies, the Lady Bobcats duo of Ella Cool and Ivy Tullis brought more medals back to South Loup. Cool turned in a time of 21:23.8 to earn the 4th place medal, and Tullis ran 22:13.3 to garner the 6th place medal. The two seniors are the only runners on this year’s women’s cross country team.

The team will be back on the course on Saturday, Sept. 14, at Broken Bow. Start time is 9 a.m.
