Rodney Ray Longmore, 70 of Callaway, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at the Callaway Good Life Center in Callaway. He was born on July 9, 1953, in Sutherland to Clarence Lewis and Ruby May (Matson) Longmore. His family moved to Elsie where he graduated from high school.

On Aug. 31, 1974, Rodney was united in marriage to the love of his life, Dorothy Ballenger in Overton.

Three children were blessed to this union: April, Donna, and Tony. They made their home in Cozad for many years until 2019, when Rodney moved to Callaway.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, April (Matt) Dinges of Cozad, Donna (Jermey) Siemering of Cozad, and Tony (Robin) Longmore of Grand Island; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.

Besides his parents, Rodney was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorothy Longmore, and sister, Wanda Ballenger.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 11, at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington, with Pastor Dean Haidle officiating. Burial was at the Sand Valley Cemetery in rural Callaway. Memorials are kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
