The Bobcat golf team hosted the South Loup Invitational at Arnold Golf Course on Friday, April 5. At the end of the day, it was the home team Bobcats claiming the top team trophy.

As a team, South Loup finished with a total of 359 strokes for the low score of the day. They were followed by Sutherland with 373, Sandhills Valley with 392, Lexington with 402, Hershey with 410, Cozad with 412, and the South Loup JV team with 413.

The top 10 individual golfers at the invite were as follows:

1st – Ethan Weems – Sandhills Valley -- 79

2nd – Grady Dempsey – Sutherland – 80

3rd – Braden Powell – Sandhills Valley 83

4th – Brady Haake – Sandhills Thedford 83

5th – Ryker Copeland – Sutherland 85

6th – Cache Gracey – South Loup 86

7th – Dawson Doggett – South Loup 86

8th – Hudson Koch – Cozad 86

9th – Jacob Walker – Mullen 90

10th – Joey Sallach – South Loup 91 Other South Loup individual results were: Haydn Stretesky, 96 for 12th place; and Harper Johnson, 104 for 21st place.

The golf team was back in action on Tuesday at Broken Bow; however, those results were not available at press time. The team is on the road at Hershey today (April 11).
