Rosezella Rosetta Price, 95, passed away peacefully on Dec. 17, 2023. God called her home to heaven to reunite with her husband, Sidney (Bud), and other family members who preceded her in death.

Rosezella was born on June. 16, 1928, to Ross and Verna Weatherly in Callaway. She graduated from high school in 1946, working on the farm as well as other jobs as a store clerk, in a newspaper office, as a movie projectionist, and in a dress factory.

In 1949, she married Sidney E. (Bud) Price in Callaway. Rosezella and Bud went on to have three children; Mike, Trudy, and LeAnn.

In 1956, they moved to Tucson, Arizona where they joined Christ Church United Methodist in 1958. The church became a core part of their family life. Rosezella spent many years working as a volunteer for Christ Church until she became homebound. Her heart was in her mission work. She made lap robes and crosses for many nursing home residents in Tucson.

She was a charter member of W.S.C.S. United Methodist Women and spent many loving hours working for Helping Hands. She was a friend to many that were homebound making visits and phone calls. She was always happy when helping others. We remember her as a loving, kind, generous, and compassionate woman who was always willing to help another soul in need. She helped to feed the homeless volunteering at the Tucson and church food bank and helping to cook and serve fullcourse meals at the church for the homeless who spent the weekend.

Rosezella was preceded in death by her loving husband, Sidney (Bud) Price; her parents, Ross and Verna Weatherly; her sisters, Lula Pitts, and Betty Martin; and brothers-in-law, Norman Martin, Dale Buback, and Roger Brestel.

She is survived by her three children, Mike (Becky) Price, Trudy (Tom) Prescott, and LeAnn (Steve) Swinehart; extended family members Gordon and Lillia Bunch; grandchildren, Drew Archer, Justin (Britney) Archer, Steven Swinehart, and Jacinda (Jason) Swinehart-Johnson; great-grandchildren, Drew and Paul Archer, Lucas Swinehart, Adelaid Johnson, Brynn Archer, and extended family member Giovanni Bunch; three brothers, Dick, Jerry, and Gary Weatherly and their families; and two sisters, Bonnie Buback, and Shirley Brestel and their families.

Services will be held at Christ Church United Methodist in Tucson, Arizona, at a later date. Inurnment of cremains will occur at Walheim Cemetery in Callaway at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Christ Church United Methodist-Missions.
