Bobcat Youth Have Great Gridiron Season

The South Loup youth football season concluded on Oct. 22, with both the A and B teams having very successful outcomes.

While the season technically began on Sept. 10, the teams had a bye in week one and saw their first action on Sept. 17 at Sutherland. The teams also played against Brady, Anselmo/Merna, Sandhills/Thedford, Mullen, and Sandhills Valley, in that order.

The B team finished the season 4-2, while the A team recorded only one loss to finish 5-1.

The youth league features players in 4th, 5th, and 6th grades. Members of this year’s team are: 4th grade - Skylar Dvorek, Bodee Klem, Weston McMichael, Brock Samuelson, Griffin Bellinger, Carlos Melendez, Jayden Anderson, Bo Dailey, Henry Fetters, Emmalyn Nicholas, and Katch Hall 5th grade - Aeden Ashing, Declan Teahon, Jeremiah Morgan, and Wyatt Fetters 6th grade - Dagen Fletcher, Quinton Boeser, Cruz Mason, Lane Hogg, Jaxsen Schacher, Reid Birkel, Jose Melendez, Braxton Green, Emmett Phelps, Rowdie Lynch, Jaxon Rynearson, Jarem Nicholas, and Gabe Stutzman The team was coached by Terence Schacher.
