Todd Sutherland, a native of Elm Creek, has joined Callaway Good Life Center (CGLC) as the nursing home administrator. Sutherland has held multiple management positions since his graduation from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a Bachelors of Arts in Industrial Distribution.

“Todd brings a wealth of experience to our nursing home. Todd possesses not only vast experience in developing culture for employees, but he also has extensive experience in senior care facilities,” said Mary Ross, Board Chair of the CGLC.

While Sutherland is a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard, he is also licensed in the State of Nebraska as an Assisted-Living Facility administrator. Additionally, Sutherland is currently working under a provisional nursing home administrators license. Over the coming year, Sutherland will be working on permanent licensure as a nursing home administrator through the Administrator in Training (AIT) program available through the State of Nebraska.

Sutherland most recently worked at AKRS equipment as an inside parts manager. However, the overwhelming majority of his experience in healthcare came from his work over a six-year period running the maintenance departments of two senior adult living facilities. During this time period, Sutherland was responsible for the overall facilities upkeep including vendor management, management of staff in the maintenance departments, and also working across departmental lines within the facilities to ensure the facilities continued to operate efficiently.

As administrator of the CGLC, Sutherland will be responsible for ensuring the overall operations and skilled care that occurs at CGLC will continue for years to come.

“The residents of the facility will always be my focus, and I am excited to work alongside the amazing staff the facility has to achieve that goal,” said Sutherland.
