Body The Callaway community came together to show support for the volunteer fire department on April 27. Different individuals joined in the walk throughout the 17 hours of the event.

Body Anyone who thinks Callaway is just a sleepy rural community with nothing going on…doesn’t know Callaway. The past week has brought with it several events and activities in the community, and what’s most exciting is, it has also brought a large number of visitors to town.

Body This Saturday, April 30 the public is invited to participate in the 21st Annual Walk for Life in Callaway. Registration is from 9:30-10 a.m. at the picnic tables in Morgan Park, with the walk beginning at 10 a.m.

Body Words cannot begin to express the humility and gratitude for our area volunteer fire men and women. On the evening of Thursday, March 24, and through the night into Friday, March 25, you stood watch over our house, property, and lives, ready to do whatever it took to protect.

Body The Custer County 4-H Public Speaking Contest was held on Monday, April 18 at the 4-H Building in Broken Bow. Twelve entries were made by Custer County 4-H youth in six divisions.
