Callaway physician Dr. Ron Sheppard has hired Stan Schied to serve as his physician’s assistant.

Schied, who just graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center with his P.A. degree, started to work at the Callaway Clinic on July 14.

The Callaway Village Board has announced that all citizens who water during the hours of 9:30 p.m. and 6 a.m. will be fined.

Callaway volunteer firefighters were called out late Sunday night to put out a pasture fire near the Junior and Nancy Willis home. Lightning in the area may have started the blaze.

Dr. Kari (Droescher) Galyen will begin family practice at the Callaway and Arnold Medical Clinics beginning Monday, Aug. 1. Galyen served a rural medicine rotation at Callaway last spring and agreed to try the community on for size by signing on for a year following the completion of her medical training.
