The Legion Auxiliary Unit 59 met at 6:30 p.m. at the Legion Hall in Callaway. We proceeded to start our meeting with Joyce Brestel reading a prayer. Deondra Lashley called our meeting to order. We proceeded with the reading of the minutes from our last meeting. There was one correction: our dues will be $32 a year starting in July.

Our Legion birthday party was a success. Jo made a motion to pay MaryAnn for the cakes and ice cream she bought for the party; it was $30.17. Joyce seconded the motion and it was voted unanimous.

MaryAnn presented a financial report and with expenses and income we have a $6,000 balance. The money we earned from the ballpark stand will be given to the pool foundation.

Jo made a motion to renew our dues to the Chamber of Commerce. The dues will be $50. MaryAnn seconded the motion and it received unanimous vote of approval.

Spring Tea will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11, at the Central Nebraska Veterans Home. If you want to help you will need to wear a mask. You can help or you can just come and visit. Pie and ice cream will be served at 3:00 that afternoon.

Old business involved ordering some cleaners for the headstones. It was also brought up that the Village Board would like to be kept informed of any projects we come up with for fundraisers.

After the meeting we judged all Poppy posters. The meeting was closed with the reading of the prayer and Deondra adjourning the meeting.
