As part of the American Red Cross Future Blood Donor program, students at Callaway Public Schools are learning about the importance of blood donation and are encouraging community members to give blood on Friday, Feb. 24 from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the school.

The Future Blood Donor program teaches elementary and middle school students about the function of blood in the body and the importance of blood donation. Students are then asked to help recruit their parents, family members and other adults to donate at the school’s upcoming blood drive.
