As of October 24, there are four males, one female, and no others in Custer County Jail. Winston Cha Chi – Booked September 20 for failure to appear. Awaiting pretrial.
Jeremiah Clifton Cranwell – Booked October 7 for shoplifting. Awaiting pretrial. Glen Willard Jenkins – Booked August 7 for second-degree sexual assault, burglary, driving under the influence of liquor, driving under suspension, willful reckless driving, and abuse of an incompetent or disabled person. Awaiting pretrial Branden James Miller – Booked October 22 for probation sanction. Sentenced. Jill Leigh Janssen – Booked August 24 for probation violation. Awaiting pretrial.
The following calls were received and processed by Custer County Sheriff’s Department for Callaway and Oconto. October 14 – A call was received from N Railroad Street in Oconto. The caller stated two semi-tires were stolen from his garage. The tires had been regrooved and the caller was confident he could identify the tires if needed.
October 17 - A call was received from River Rd in Callaway. The caller stated they had received several scam calls that morning. No money was lost, and no information was given to the scammers. October 18 – A call was received from Hwy 21 of Oconto. The caller reported that she hit a deer. The deer ran off. There was some damage to the car but she was able to drive home.
October 18 – A call was received from Hwy 21 of Oconto. The caller reported that a Broken Bow kid was sitting south of Oconto Feeders. The child was wearing a grey sweatshirt. October 20 – A call was received from Hwy 40 of Oconto. The caller reported she found a tiny, female, black lab that has a white spot. The pup was found on highway 40 between Oconto and Callaway.
