Maddie Squiers, graduate assistant for the UNK Volleyball team, is the director of a new club volleyball program in Central/Western Nebraska this year.

Nebraska Pride Volleyball is a club that has merged with Nebraska Gold to create a successful and competitive club in this area of the state. The teams will consist of 10-year-olds to 18-year-olds. “Our emphasis is providing area athletes an opportunity to compete on a successful club volleyball team even if they are a two or three sport athlete,” said Squier.

Team Tryouts will be held Nov. 6 at UNK. Athletes in the 10s-13s will have tryouts from 1-2:30 p.m, while the 14s-18s will be from 3-4:30 p.m. There is a $10 tryout fee. Students can pre-register by finding Nebraska Pride Volleyball on social media or walk-ups are welcome.
