South Loup Women Finish Third at Bow Cross Country Invite

The South Loup cross country team had a day of tough competition on Saturday, Sept. 12, as they competed in the Broken Bow Invitational. The Bobcat women’s team finished in third place overall. Other teams in the women’s division at the meet were Gothenburg, Ord, McCook, St. Paul, and North Platte St. Pat’s.

Five of the six runners on the South Loup women’s team ran their personal best times at the meet. Senior Jade Bierman finished in a time of 21:55.9, which was good for 11th place. Chloe Coleman had a time of 23:31.9; Delanie Weinman ran a time of 23:40.3; Danielle Burd had a time of 25:06.3; Lia Russell ran a time of 25:38.7; and Tasia Trotter finished with a time of 29:34.7.

Walter Bierman was the only runner to compete in the men’s division for South Loup. His time of 18:33.7 earned him a 15th place finish overall.

The Bobcats are back on the course today, Sept. 17, at Ravenna. That meet gets underway at 4 p.m. Their next competition will be at UNK on Sept 28, beginning at noon.
