Nebraska is running true to form. Last week we had a temperature of 100 degrees and clear skies and now this week we are experiencing 40 degree weather, cloudy skies and wind. Maybe in a few days we will have some rain, we hope!

Lane Horn was the winning pitcher when the Mets played the Raiders and won with a score of 13-6, after three innings of play. Ward Jorgenson, Todd Jorgenson, and Lane Horn each scored 3 runs. Brian Pierce brought home 2 runs with Willy Robertson and Brad Patterson each scoring for one. Picking up the loss for the Raiders was pitcher Jeff Ridder.

The Callaway Community Foundation was recently awarded a $20,000 tax credit grant for use in the fundraising effort for the Community Use Center. The ultimate goal is for the Foundation to raise $550,000 for the construction of the center.
