The public is invited to join the Women’s Resourc Center for the 21st Annual “Walk for Life” on Saturda April 30 in Callaway. Walkers who raise at least $50 i sponsor pledges or donations will receive this year’s WF t-shirt for free. If you are unable to be a ‘walker’ – yo can be a ‘sponsor’. “Your participation will be significant as we raise fund that help us make a difference in the lives of moms dads, children, and the unborn,” said Women’s Resourc Center Executive Director Linda Logsdon. “By Walkin for Life you will be joining the Women’s Resource Cente in an effort to impact our community.”

The WRC is a 501(c)3 pregnancy resource center providing free limited medical, educational, an support services to young women facing unplanne pregnancies. Services include: free pregnancy test and ultrasounds, life skills training, parenting classes momma well-care, and free material needs for babie and moms. The WRC also provides education and support training for dads. Entire families a important to the WRC.

“In 2019, only 8% of the 2,193 reported abortion in Nebraska were for reasons of maternal or ment health or incest or rape," said Logsdon. "Events such the ‘Walk for Life’ will help us get the word out to l women and men know that abortion is not the on option when faced with an unplanned pregnancy.”

The theme of this year’s Walk For Life is “Fearfully an Wonderfully Made”. The event will be held on Saturda April 30 at Ehmen Park in Gothenburg. Registration w begin at 9:30 a.m. and the walk gets started at 10 a.m You can register for the walk online at friendsofwrc.com
