Custer County Salvation Army presented $8,250 in funds Monday, June 2, to Custer County communities with swimming pools, local food pantries and Prairie Pioneer Center.

Checks for $500 each went to Broken Bow, Ansley, Arnold and Callaway to be used for their summer swimming lessons.

Food pantries in Sargent, Arnold and Ansley each received $750.

Prairie Pioneer Center received a check for $4,000 for their Meals for Recovering Seniors Program, which provides meals to senior citizens who are recovering from hospital stays.

Funds for these checks come from the Cliff Luther Endowment, bell ringing donations, and other contributions.
