Recently a baby spoon found its way to the Callaway Museum via an interesting route. The spoons' travels towards home began with Ken and Jill Pitkin of Callaway volunteering at Crossroads Mission Avenue, a thrift store in Kearney.

While sorting donations, the couple noticed an odd sized spoon in a collection of donated silverware. They noticed an engraving and found it read 'Callaway District Hospital 1985'. The spoon was offered to the museum and was gladly accepted.

Many phone calls were made to obtain any history of the spoon, but no information has been found to date. If anyone has information on the origin of the spoon, please contact Jo Chesley 308-870-4611.
