Lady Bobcats Show Expected Promise

The Lady Bobcats have been one of the top teams in the area for the last decade and this year appears to be following the same trend. The Lady Bobcats placed at least one athlete in 11 of the 14 events and placed multiple athletes in eight of the 12 individual events contested.

One of the highlights of the day was in the pole vault, as senior Reagan Cool won the event breaking her own school record with a height of 10 feet, 1 inch.

Some of the other highlights that occured in the field events were Joslyn Reiff and Annalee Starr jumping personal bests, placing 3rd and 5th, respectively.

Isabelle Stallbaumer won the shot put and Abby Stallbaumer won the discus with Mya Weverka placing 4th and 5th in each of those events .. In the sprints the girls showed their depth, as the girls

Talianna Martin and Ella Cool crossed the line in first and second place in the 1 mile, respectively.

In the 3200 meter run, Faith Bierman took third and Grace Bierman was fourth.

Coach Weverka said that the girls' hard work is paying off and that they hope to reach their peak by conference and district meets.

The Bobcats' next meet is on March 26 at Hershey. The Invitational will begin at 10 a.m. at Hershey High School.
