Some of the most popular kites by spectators of all ages were the Mario Bros. characters.

There were other activities at the field over the weekend other than kite flying. Veva Tickle, left, and Zuella Tickle of Arnold took advantage of the face painting in the large tent.

The vehicles below give a good perspective as to the size of the large dragon kite that was visible from a couple of miles away.
