Weather Keeps Auxiliary Meeting Short And Sweet
The Callaway Legion Auxiliary, Unit 59, held our meeting on Dec. 19, at 6:30 p.m. Because of the extreme cold and very low attendance we decided to have a very informal meeting.
We discussed what we need to provide for the school. It was suggested that we could help provide: glue sticks, water color paints, cheap paper plates, fine tip dry erase markers, 12” rulers, Kleenex and zip lock bags. There is no hurry to make this decision as we can wait until we have a full meeting.
We also checked into the backpack program and there is no program in existence any more.
Jo had bought 34 wreaths from Scottsbluff Home Depot, they gave a very good deal, they sold them at half price plus 10% off for a military discount.
The Mid-Year Conference is coming up and MaryAnn will attend.
We had no Financial Report this meeting. We will pick up wreaths after the first of the year whenever the temperature cooperates. We will make calls to get the help.
We would like to wish everyone a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR. Thanks to everyone for the help you gave the Auxiliary this year, we truly appreciate it. Sincerely, Eileen Wilson, Secretary
