Today, Aug. 20, is the first day of classes for students at Callaway Public School. As a new year gets underway in the classroom, extracurricular activities are also kicking off this week. This evening the South Loup Lady Bobcats volleyball team will host Burwell beginning at 6 p.m. On Friday, Aug.

21, the FFA will host a kickoff event at 6 p.m. Activities will kick into full gear next week with cross country at Burwell at 10 a.m. and volleyball at Ainsworth at 5, 6, and 7 p.m. on Aug.

27. The South Loup football season kicks off Aug. 28 at North Platte St.
