Area residents were treated to songs and stories of the American West during an evening of entertainment at the Nigel Sprouse Memorials Library in Callaway on Feb. 21.

Kerry Grombacher and Aspen Black team up to perform a program that incorporates music and storytelling. Both are multi-instrumentalists and tell fascinating stories that they accompany with guitars, bass and mandolin. The two have worked together since 2014 and have performed nationwide in a variety of venues.

A nice sized crowd attended the performance, sponsored by the library. The library is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1-6 p.m., and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Library Director Laura Seng also wants people to know the library offers more than just books. DVDs, puzzles, cake pans and audiobooks are available to check out. Computers are available for use for both children and adults, and there is meeting space available in the back room.
