Kenneth Hendricks, 99 of Lexington, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023, at Ridgeway in Lexington. He was born on Dec. 21, 1923, in Lodi, to Rollie and Cleta Faye (Boggs) Hendricks.

Evelyn Gladem, 95 of Columbus, died Monday, March 13, 2023, at the Columbus Community Hospital. Evelyn was born Sept. 3, 1927, in White River, South Dakota, to Alfred and Helen (Lewon) Sorenson.

Ruth Marie (Mortiz) Conner, age 91 of Julesburg, Colorado and formerly of Arnold, passed away on March 16, 2023. She was born Feb. 2, 1932, in Overton, to Frank and Olga (Venhauer) Moritz.

Mary Jane Pandorf, 92 of Callaway, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at the Callaway District Hospital. She was born on Jan. 29, 1931, in rural Callaway to Lynn and Edna (Buckner) Griffith.

James Richard Bryan went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 15, 2023, at the age of 77. Jim was born on May 24, 1945, to Mabel (Zoerb) and Richard Bryan in San Luis Obispo, California.

Joseph Dale Davenport, beloved son of proud parents Esther and Bernard, descendent of French, German and Irish immigrants/devout Catholics, was born April 27, 1931, and died Dec. 29, 2022.

William N. “Bill” Underwood Jr, 75 of Elwood, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023, at the Elwood Care Center. He was born on April 5, 1948, to William and Doris J. (Read) Underwood, Sr.

Linda S. Curia, 72 of Oconto, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at the Callaway District Hospital in Callaway. She was born on Jan. 3, 1951, in Lexington to Ralph and Lola (Badgley) Kirby.

Frances Carol Smith was born Aug. 4, 1930, in Wichita, Kansas. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 25, 2023, at age 92.

Barbara Ann Shelton, 83 of Silverdale, Washington, passed away on April 28, 2023. She was born to Dominick and Madeline (Romano) Dimeo in Bridgeton, New Jersey, Anna Mae Cool, age 94 of Broken Bow, died June 16, 2023, at the Brookestone View in Broken Bow. She was born on March 3, 1929, a special gift to Glenn and Opal Mae (Huffman) Cool.

Ronald Leo Tangeman, 83 of Callaway, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney. He was born on Nov. 1, 1939, in Omaha to Noah and Agnes (Sopcich) Tangeman.

Muriel Shea, 90 of Lexington, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2023, at the Cozad Community Hospital in Cozad. Muriel was born on Dec. 20, 1932, in Rural Callaway, welcomed by her parents Ralph and Opal Anderson.

Elsie Marie (Knispel) Struempler of Broken Bow, formerly of Oconto, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2023, at Brookestone View in Broken Bow at the age of 98. She was born Aug. 23, 1924, to William and Clara (Knoop) Knispel in a sod house on a farm west of Eddyville.

Charles Albert Blowers Jr., age 93 of Arnold, died peacefully on Aug. 22, 2023, in Callaway. Junior was born June 28, 1930, to Charles Albert Sr and Della (Boyer) Blowers near Arnold, at the family home.

Peter Thane Ellingson passed away in the home that he loved with family by his side on Aug. 14, 2023. He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Dec. 13, 1940, to Elmer Torger Ellingson and Marcella Bernice (Carpenter) Ellingson.

Funeral Mass for LV “Cook” Conner was held at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Arnold on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023. Cook was born on Oct. 10, 1927, in Pilot Grove, Texas, the son of Arthur Lee and Fanny Conner and was the youngest of six children.

Gary Glendy, age 77 of rural Broken Bow, passed away Oct. 6, 2023, at his home.

Gary Lee Glendy, the youngest son of William (Bill) and Elsie (Pflaster) Glendy was born Sept. 29, 1946, in Broken Bow.

Leona Wilhmenia Fahnholz, 98 of North Platte, passed away on Oct. 31, 2023, at Linden Court in North Platte. She was born on June 25, 1925, to Herman and Mary (Weber) Schievelbein in Arapahoe.

Marge Mason, age 85 of Broken Bow, passed away Nov. 7, 2023, at the Jennie M Melham Memorial Medical Center in Broken Bow. Marjorie “Marge” Louise Mason was born Feb. 22, 1938, in Callaway, to Douglas and Mabel (Morrison) Wise.

Rexey “Rex” Allen Gunnerson, 83 of St. Paul, (formerly of Gothenburg), passed away peacefully on Dec. 1, 2023, at the Grand Island Regional Medical Center in Grand Island. Rex was born on Dec. 7, 1939, to Carl and Mabel (Willett) Gunnerson in Bertrand.

Harriet L. Barnes went home to be with her Lord, on Dec. 17, 2023, at the age of 95 years, 11 months. She was born on Jan. 16, 1928, to Myron and Josephine (Lichtenberger) Hopkins in Callaway.

Rita Bill (Harris) age 74 of Bennet, died peacefully Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023, in Lincoln. She was born on June 30, 1949, in Lexington, the fifth child of William Orris (Bill) and Loretta Belle (Bybee) Harris.

The Callaway Courier has received word of the death of Rosie 'Weatherly' Price of Tuscon, Arizona. Rosie was a Callaway High School graduate and passed away on Dec. 17, 2023.
