Every year the first weekend in July lends itself to a community celebration in Oconto. The events kicked off on Friday, July 1 with a mystery scavenger hunt, the winners of which were announced during the parade on Saturday morning. Third place in the hunt went to the Oconto Camping Club; Sandy Eggleston’s team took second; and the winning team was that of Dani Eggleston.

Community members and visitors lined Grand Avenue for the parade, with entries portraying this year’s theme “United We Stand”. In line with that theme the Grand Marshall for the 2022 Oconto Fun Days was American Legion Auxiliary Sunset Unit 250.

Following the parade everyone enjoyed a free lunch at the community center provided by Oconto Boosters, and kids activities throughout the afternoon. The alumni banquet and fireworks show rounded out the day on Saturday, and a 4-person golf scramble on Sunday concluded the Fun Days celebration.
