The children and grandchildren of Charles and Kitty Nansel gathered at the home of Terry and Melanie Sheen in Grand Island for their annual Labor Day Reunion. The festivities began on Wednesday when Linda Lawrence, Lance and Diane Stryker arrived and the Strykers along with the Sheens attended a concert at the State Fair. Others started arriving on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday until all had arrived, a total of 49.

Those in attendance during the weekend were: Larry's (deceased) family--Roberta Nansel, Kevin and Pat Nansel, Melanie and Terry Sheen, Kelsey and Mark Johnson and their children Will, Cora and Reed, Callie and Luke Friesen, daughter Cameron all of Grand Island. Kara and Sebastian Nastase and sons Vincent and Elliott of Omaha. Lane Nansel, Dr. Ron and Debbie Dobesh of Kearney. Ryan and Erin Dobesh of Lincoln. Katie and Nick Breunig and their children Aria. Elle and Zane of Wahoo. Linda Lawrence, Lance and Diane Stryker of Callaway, Dana Lawrence of Seal Beach, California, Trent and Jordyn Stryker and children Wade, Ruby and Leah of Bennington, Aaron Stryker of Omaha. Several of the guys enjoyed golf, the shooting range and everyone enjoyed playing cards, table games, Nebraska football and the delicious food, visiting and reminiscing.
