The American Legion Post 59 is pleased to announce that Grant Hrupek of Callaway was selected and is sponsored by Bryson Booker Post 59. Hrupek will join nearly 225 other high school juniors from across Nebraska participating in the American Legion Cornhusker Boys' State Program, June 5 - 17 at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln downtown campus. The annual citizenship program, sponsored by the Nebraska American Legion, is designed provide youths with a bet understanding of how city, coun and state governments operate.

American Legion Cornhusker Bo State is set up as a functional "5 state" and each boy learns h government subdivisions operate actually doing the job. Participa will campaign for offices, h elections, take part in band a chorus, compete in athlet and be involved in other var activities as part of the citizens training program. Special lectures and addres will be delivered by experienced public officials a professional leaders throughout Nebraska. Invitatio have been sent to the Governor and Secretary of Sta offices for special appearances at this year's progra Nationally acclaimed motivational speakers are a scheduled to address the entire group.
