The Callaway Hospital District Foundation, Inc. was established in response to a clear and ongoing need — the need to ensure that individuals and families who rely on Callaway Hospital District have access to the highest quality healthcare services possible.

Since its founding, Callaway Hospital District has grown and evolved into a modern community healthcare center. The hospital’s ability to successfully integrate traditional inpatient services with outpatient and clinic-based care has been instrumental in strengthening healthcare delivery across our rural region and positioning the organization for continued growth.

Although healthcare has changed significantly since the original hospital was constructed in 1952, our commitment has remained constant. Just as the community supported the construction of the new hospital in 1979 and the outpatient addition in 1988, the Foundation exists to help sustain and advance healthcare services for current and future generations. Its purpose is to support ongoing improvements that ensure progressive, accessible healthcare for all citizens of the region.

The Foundation proudly hosted an annual Gala beginning in 1974 through 2019. The event paused in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and has not been held since. In 2026, we are excited to revive this long-standing tradition, with the goal of once again hosting the Gala annually to support meaningful healthcare initiatives in our community.

The Callaway Hospital District Foundation is pleased to announce the 2026 Foundation Gala, which will be held on April 18, 2026, at the Arnold Community Center. This special evening will bring together community members, local businesses, and supporters to raise funds for a transformational rural healthcare project — the construction of a new Arnold Medical Clinic.

A new clinic in Arnold will enhance patient flow, incorporate updated technology, expand service capabilities, and create a modern space designed to support provider recruitment and retention. This investment is critical to maintaining local access to quality healthcare services.

The estimated cost of the Arnold Clinic project is approximately $2.6 million. Funding is expected to come from a combination of financing, grant support, and community fundraising efforts led by the Foundation.
