The Callaway Rescue Squad spent the day at Callaway Public School on Monday, Aug. 14, and this time it was the teachers who were the students. Callaway EMTs conducted a CPR class for the CPS staff.

“We got 35 Callaway School District employees certified in Basic Life Support,” said Callaway EMS Captain Mark Buss. “They can now assist infants, pediatrics, and adults with life-saving CPR and other skills.”

This is just one project the Callaway EMS has been involved in recently to help make the community a safer place. Another involves reviewing AEDs in the community. We will have more on that from Captain Buss in next week’s Courier.
