The Callaway Chamber voted at their meeting on Aug. 2 to purchase three steel benches for the community.

The benches will have a rubber coating applied over them for a total cost of $150 each. These benches will be placed at the Library, Seven Valleys Museum and Callaway Motel.

The funds for the benches comes from an anonymous donation from a BRAN bike rider who donated $1,000 during their visit to Callaway in June.

The money was designated for storm recovery. The Chamber has also donated to the 4-H club for cleanup of the cemetery after the hail storm.

The Chamber plans to award more funds in the next few months.
