The 34th Annual Kolbo Family reunion was held at the Callaway Senior Center in Callaway on Sunday, Oct. 8. Hosting were daughters of Janice Loghry, Mitzi Graham, and Dawn Hiatt and families. A covered dish dinner was served to 32 family members.

A memorial tribute to family members who have passed away during the past year was read. Those family members who passed through the year were, Gary 'Kumbo' Kumm, of Callaway; Carlynn Groshong, first cousin of Lucille Beshlar; Linda Gustafson Lepore, daughter of Doris and Gus Gustafson; David Kolbo, Jr son of David and Thelma Kolbo; and Clifford Blythe, grandson-in-law of Hilmer and Flossie Kolbo.

The hosts had toys and games for the young ones. Family members present were, Roger and Creta Kolbo of Prescott Valley, Arizona; Ron and Mitzi Graham of Lincoln; Ramona Oehlerking, Sue and Meaghan Smith of Murdock, Dawn Hiatt and Tim Hogg, John Brouillette, Dawn Hiatt's son Tim Hiatt and Noah, Janice Loghry, Beverly Beshaler, and Raymond Kolbo all of Callaway; Wade and Kim Kolbo, Karson & Bailey Kolbo and Brock Scott of McCook; Roberta Nansel, Melanie Sheen, Kevin Nansel of Grand Island; Gaylene Rudy of Aurora; Donna and Tony Christianson of Cozad; Norval and Joyce Kolbo of Gothenburg; Kaylea & Alyssa Kolbo, Tony Kolbo and Bernita Meads of Kearney.

The reunion will be held again next year on Oct. 13, 2024.
