All Are Invited To a Special Evening Of Old Time Fun
The students and staff of Callaway Christian Academy have come up with a unique learning and fundraising opportunity. Steve Sommer, director of the Academy, developed a love for old time radio shows as a child, and wanted to share some of that history and nostalgia with the students at the Academy.
This Friday, March 17, the students with the help of some community members will be presenting an “Old Time Radio Show” at the Callaway Community Building. A concession stand will open at 6 p.m. which will be serving hot dog meals and other goodies for anyone wanting to have supper before the program, which begins at 7:30 p.m.
The Academy students will be providing the sound effects for the various skits, news and cooking show during the program. The evening will also feature southern gospel music by the Callaway Community Church Quartet.
Everyone is invited to attend this special evening of fun and entertainment, which is a fundraiser for the Callaway Christian Academy. A free will offering for the evening will be taken.
