50 YEARS AGO:
This Friday, Oct. 3, will be the homecoming football game with Litchfield. The king and queen will be crowned right after the game at the football field. Prior to the game, there will be a parade on the downtown streets at 2:15 p.m., and on Thursday evening, a bonfire pep rally will be held in the parking lot following a carry-in dinner for the team members and Pep Club members.
Members of the Cloverette 4-H Club will go from door-to-door in Callaway on Oct. 4 to collect money to buy new spring horses for Morgan Park. Part of the money has been obtained from a recent bake sale. It is hoped to be able to raise $200.
