Could new playground equipment be in Morgan Park’s future? The Callaway Village Board of Trustees heard a proposal from Jenny Daup, a representative of a group of eight to 10 families in the village who are looking at the possibility during the July 5 meeting. Daup said the group has been researching companies that deal in playground equipment, looked at 12, and has winnowed it down to three candidates. The board indicated its approval of the effort, and board member Jerry Meyer asked that the citizen committee determine what it wants and needs and then come back. Acting president Marvin Smith said he would prefer that a rubberized surface be included in the wish list.
